Take Time

You have it.

Everything rushes. Even the river.

But you have time. You have time to smell the flowers. You have time to pick the flowers.

You have time to make decisions.

You have time to re-think things.

You have time to breathe.

You have time to read.

You have time to take pauses.

You have time to chew your food slowly with care.

You have time to hug your Mom and say I love you.

You have time to call a friend instead of text.

You have time to write a poem about noodles.

You have time to thank someone for existing.

You have time to sip your coffee in a mug after it cools enough so you can taste it.

You have time to think, to dream, to explore, to love.

You have time to waste and time to keep.

You have time to regret, but not regret too much.

You have time to move on.

You have time to live.

You have time to go the extra mile.

You have time to dance around in your pj's.

You have time to fly with Peter Pan.

You have time to brush your sister's hair.

You have time to highfive your opponent.

You have time to forgive your enemies.

You have time to throw blades of grass and to dry sighs on the sidewalk.

You have time.

Take it. But don't take it for granted.

Saturday was the first day of Fall, so happy official Fall.  I hope it serves you well. I celebrated it quite nicely but I'm saving that for another time and another post; probably Monday's. Today I'm taking the time to do other things. Like enjoying my family and looking at an art musuem exhibit.

You have time today, so use it wisely.
