Snow snow snow snow!!!!!

Okay, maybe I'm a little too enthusiastic. But I love snow. Northerners pretty much hate snow, but since I'm a Floridian and I don't have to live in snow, I love snow. Which is why I got pretty excited when I heard that we are vacationing this December in North Carolina. :) We've been there before and experienced snow there before and have created so many warm memories there before. And it's been a long time since we've been so I'm pretty excited. :D I know that going to North Carolina in the winter does not guarantee snow, but it's still cooler weather and more promising than Florida is when it comes to snow and cold weather.

What are your feelings on snow?

On a side note, even though the friendship is kind of shaky still and complicated, I'm in a better mood. Yet again. :) Haha, seriously though. God is so awesome. His Word never ceases to comfort. I also went for a nice long run, had an enjoyable Ethics class for once with some nice people, and my friend Austin came over and we watched "the Newsies" with young Christian Bale in it. So, I'm trying to look at the positives and bright side instead because life is better that way.

Speaking of past vacations made me want to look through old vaction photos. So I did, and I found a lot that I really like. :)
Wanna see?

I saw the last photo on pininterest and I definitely want to do this for my little sisters some morning in December. :) I think they'll enjoy that. And I'll enjoy their reactions.

Anywho, I love winter vacations. I love cold weather. I love crunchy snow. I love comfy cabins and sweaters. I love little lit up diners. I love warm, toasty fireplaces. I love all of that in December, surrounded by a nice family, nice scenery and Christmasy music, movies, and lights.

I'm pysched.

  1. Oh how fun! I usually love snow...We don't always get it here in Mo, but I'm almost always glad when we do. Unless we get a lot and can't get out of our driveway 'cause it's REALLY steep and if it's slick we can't get down safely. lol. :D <3 I'm sure you'll have a fabulous time. I loved all the pictures. <3

  2. Residing in the North I can say that I adore winter. I love the snow and I love all the aspects you mentioned in your post (trust me tho, there aren't many of us up here who really love it tho!) Looks like you guys really love the snow too :) my cousins who live in Florida are the same way!

  3. I wish I could get just as excited...but I'm so not a snow person. I have tried and tried again to love and enjoy this beautiful white blanket, but being a gal is always cold makes it difficult for me to enjoy it if I am shivering uncomfortably. I do love it on Christmas however :) It's already in the 30s here in PA,so I am longing for 80 degree weather. I love Florida - my family vacations down there a lot -so I am definitely looking forward to our next trip. xo Marisa

  4. I LOVE SNOW TOO! I don't know why so many people always want to have summer - I adore winter as much as every other season and snow is such a wonderful thing!!

I think it is great that you're doing some research on the Jewish Museum in Berlin - if you need some help (and you think that I'm able to help you) - feel free to ask :)

  6. Errrrrrr. Snow. I have a love/hate relationship with snow. We get so much every year for so long that it gets really old. I would love snow so much more if I didn't have to shovel it, because waking up to 2 1/2 feet, and needed to shovel before breakfast really irks me. I love the coziness that snow brings to the house though, the fires, and the cooking are always so lovely. lol

YOU WATCH NEWSIES?! I LOVE THAT MOVIE!! It's awesome! (Christian Bale that young..... *happiness*) They made a broadway musical of it.... And I don't know what it is about it, but I just can't like it. (here meaning I've tried and failed) It's awful... and Jack... Jack was awful!

  10. Ugh! I am so jealous. It doesn't snow here and I wish it did! It did snow once when I was eight for about an hour... we ran out and tried to make a snowman and snow angels and have a snowball fight real quick. Literally real quick because by the time we finished the snowman it was mostly a melting mud-man.

Have fun! That all sounds SO magical and Christmas-like :)

  11. First of all, I'm so happy you're doing better now! You're right, God is awesome. :) I *love* snow. But I relate, because here in Alabama we rarely get any. When we do though it's pretty special. Those pictures are so sweet and I'm sure your little sisters will adore the cookies when you bake them. :D

  14. Snow is great, I make snow sculptures whenever the snows right.
A dog, horse, car, motercycle...and some snowmen. Snow forts are fun if you have someone to build them with. (And throw snowballs at!)
2,3 and the snowman with . . . hair? Are my favorites.
P.s. I don't know how I missed this post! Weird...
