Ooh the Sound of New

"The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep."
~Robert Frost~

I've discovered new songs and they make me so happy I kinda feel like crying. But I'm not gonna do that. I've also been re-reading Peter Pan because it's really quite an intriguing book and I like that. I also feel like drawing so I might do that. But I need drawing suggestions? Send me pictures that you like and think I should draw! I'll be forever grateful. :)

Here are the songs that I'm addicted to:

Hopeless Wandered-Mumford and Sons
Lack of Color- Death Cab for Cutie
Home-Phil Phillips
You Remind Me of Home- Ben Gibbard

On a side note, yesterday's evening went very well. :) My family and I went to Uncle Franks(an Italian Pizzeria) and ate yummy food. Then we walked to All About Puppies and fell in love with so many puppies. After that we went to a Pumpkin Patch(the most sincere one) and grabbed a pumpkin that was shaped like a Muffin. His name is Milo. Then we traveled home and watched "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" and ate Cannoli's.

Today, there's an annual canoe trip our church does but I'm not doing it this year. Because to be honest, I didn't really want to go. It's a long route and I'm awful at cannoing. But then there's a cookout at our friend's house and there should be some volleyball playing and fire going. So I'm going to that and it should be fun. :) I'm excited.

On the quick subject of where I get my images, the answer is everywhere. Sometimes I find images I love on pinterest, some times from tumblr postings, and some times from random places on the internet. But the key thing that I don't do is copy one blog's entire picture posts. If I find an image I like, I'll post it to here. It's not like they came up with it theirself, they got it from someone else who got it from someone else who got it from someone else, and so forth. But I do think copying someone's entire picture posts isn't the best way to go about making your own blog. I try to switch things around, and i do my own looking. I never copy anyone's exact post. It's like when you are doing a paper and you use images or re word information from a variety of sources and still put your own work in there too. You don't want to plagiarize. So, I'm just advising that because I seem to have noticed some people copying almost exactly what I post. I don't mind taking an image or two, but 95% of what I post, is a little too much. Especially when that's all your post consists of. It's not completely fair when I've composed an entire list of pictures from various places and you take the whole list and put them on your blog like you've looked and found these things. I hope I didn't offend anyone, it's just my personal opinion on using someone's blog photos. Again, one or two that you like is fine, but a whole post full of the ones I put together, that seems unfair.

I hope you all are having a great weekend!
Stay Tuned for a Picture Posting on Monday.

  2. "Storms make trees take deeper roots". I like that, it's going on my "Sage advice" page.
Did you name the pumkin Milo? That's great! Is he named after Milo of the Phantom Toll booth?
I like how you "Traveled" home, much more interesting than "came home".
Pictures to draw? Penguins! Ducks! I made a new page to post some of my drawings of those creatures in particular. Or you could make up a short story and illustrate it with goofy pictures and speech bubbles in the wrong places...it's quite the learning experience! =D

  3. I'm sorry people have been coping 95% of what you post, that is severely unfair. I love all your pictures, and have actually never used any of them, though I should probably save a few of my faves just to have around {I rarely use anything other then my photography on my blog}
I *LOVE* your song list! Home by Phil Phillips is my new fave this week, its soooo good. ^_^ And of course Mumford and Sons=epicness.

  6. I've never read Peter Pan, though I'm sure I should. Have you read Alice's Adventures in Wonderland? I adore that one. <3
ugh! I'm sorry that people steal your ideas and images! :P I hate that. I think I've only ever used one from here, so I'm pretty sure it's not me, right? :)
