A playlist to listen to when you are alone and awake at night and need music to keep you company.

- Poison and Wine- Civil Wars
- Death and All His Friends- Vitamin String Quartet
- The Ice is Getting Thinner- Death Cab for Cutie
- How it Ends- Devotchka
- Oh My God- Jars of Clay
- Dawn- Pride and Prejudice Soundtrack
- Charlie Boy- The Lumineers
- O Children- Nick Cave
- Silhouette- Owl City
- On my Own- Samantha Barks
- Chasing Cars- Snow Patrol
- Reminder- Mumford and Sons
- Home- Phil Phillips
- Coffee- Copeland
- Get Up-Barcelona
- Life is Beautiful- Icarus Account

Yes, some of these songs are sad. But the point is... they are undenyingly beautiful and calming. And I think undenyingly beautiful songs should always be appreciated even if undenyingly isn't even a word. And they are indubitably perfect for nights where inspiration strikes, and writing comes easily, and thinking is inevitable.

  1. It his is an epic list! I love sad songs. That OC song is gorgeous, and Charlie Boy, ooh yes! One of my faves. ^_^

  2. I LOVE this list, I love most all of these songs. There's a few I've never heard. But I love Jars of Clay and Civil Wars and I rarely find people who know these two bands. I'll have to add all of these to my mp3 player for these sorts of nights :)
