Poem/Pictures/Summer Playlist

We kept our sunburns in our pockets as we played on the swings,
The fireflies holding our stardusted dreams.

The days were hot but it was cold be the sea,
As the Summer breeze washed over me.

You're going to rattle the stars, you are.
If you leap too high or jump too far.
But that's okay by me,
'Cause this is Summer's melody.

The waves pretending to be a calming tune,
The seagulls playing hide and seek in between the dunes.

Georgia's mountain screamed adventure and laughter,
Florida's hometown calling sweetly after.

You're going to rattle the stars, you are.
If you leap too high or jump too far.
But that's okay by me,
'Cause this is Summer's melody.

Freckles emerging from my skin,
A reckless abandon wrestling deep within.

Peaceful evenings with time for thoughts,
Voyages to quaint little coffee shops.

I'm going to rattle the stars, I am.
If I jump too high, which is my plan.
Because it's okay by me,
For this is Summer's melody.

I like the idea of making a summer playlist, because you're right, there won't be another summer like this one. Oh, and Hopeless Wanderer- Mumford and Sons is one of my favorites.
