College Life Adventures

No offense to my College classes, but they bore me. Or at least the majority do, there are a few I enjoy. So, considering the fact that they bore me, I have a lot of free time in class to write. Trust me, this is leading to somewhere good. I have a story to share.

It was the Monday of this week.
I was in Statistics class.
I had already written down my notes I needed to take for the lessons.
Therefore, I was bored because I had nothing else to do.
Then, suddenly, I was struck with the idea to write. (I know, shocker.)
So I wrote.
The first words I could think of were;
Dear You.
From there I wrote a letter.
It went something like this;

Dear You,
I don't know what you are facing today but I know you WILL get through it. Trust me on this.
You ARE beautiful.
You ARE loved.

Beauty isn't measured in pounds or mirrors.
You need to know that.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Learn to love yourself because you deserve to be loved.

Love,
Me.

It may seem like an odd thing to write but honestly I was thinking about how insecure women feel some times.
And how we subconsciously know we're beautiful and loved but somehow we forget that.
So, I wrote the letter and class was let out.
I had to go to the bathroom.
Then a brilliant idea struck me.
On the inside of the bathroom stalls are these little pocket things that hold the school's monthly event calendar.
I decided to stick my letter written on the piece of paper in there.
I didn't know how long it would stay there.
Well, on a Thursday morning after classes let out for that day,
I had to go to the bathroom.
The stall in which I put the letter in was occupied, so I used a different stall.
On the inside of my stall, the events calendar for the month was taken down.
Therefore, I figured my letter in the next stall would be too.
I was wrong.
I heard crying from the stall next to mine,
and when the girl came out she went over to the sink and wiped her eyes.
This may seem silly, but before I went out the door I checked the now open and unoccupied stall to see if my letter was there and it was.
I don't know if that's the reason why the girl was crying or not.
But I know she read it.
And I hope its what she needed that day.
I also know that whoever took down the event's calendar left my note there,
And I appreciate that.
I hope I was able to brighten some people's days.
I really hope so.

That's my story.

Only two pictures today.
I originally was only going to post one,
But then it got lonely.
So I brought it a friend.

Side/Ending Note:

Today is Friday.
No School.
No College.
Just sleeping in.
And enjoying the best pumpkin cheesecake cookies ever.
Even if they are store bought.
And Pumpkin Spice Eggnog.
Which is, suprisingly, delicious.
I actually favor it over regular eggnog.
And hopefully sometime soon, I can get myself over to Starbucks and enjoy a Gingerbread Latte because they are officially out.
Also, my friend Nora is coming over and we're going to be doing some arts and crafts and disney movie watching.
I'm excited.

~Happy Friday! (Because Fridays should always be happy!)

  7. Aww that is a sweet story! There used to be this thing a while ago, it was called project beautiful, and this group would most positive affirmations around towns -like you are beautiful. I always loved the idea and think we all need a pick me up sometimes.

(As far as college courses- once you get past the general education courses and into your major it gets to be so much fun!)
