" You know that place between sleep and awake; that place where you can still remember dreaming? That's where I will always love you. That's where I will always be waiting."

--Peter Pan.

When I read this quote, I read it and think about it in so many different ways. In one way, that's childhood. Peter Pan is childhood. And childhood is always in between being asleep and awake. And then I think about dreaming. And I think about how this can mean the dreaming where you dream you will meet your true love and ride horses off into the sunset and live a flawless life. Or the dream where you actually dream bizarre and crazy things in your sleep. Or the dream that is a wish your heart makes. And I also sometimes think about the person who is saying, that's where I will always love you and where I will always be waiting and I think about my husband I haven't met yet. My true love. And how he is one of my dreams, and maybe thats where he will love me until I meet him someday. And then he'll love me in every aspect and form of my dreaming. He will become my dream come true.

Basically this quote gives me hope, and happiness, and comfort. And it makes me a kid and it makes me hold out for the guy who can let me be a kid when I want to. And this quote reminds me to never ever settle for a guy less than the guy of your dreams. It reminds me to never compromise myself to be something I think a guy wants or would like. It makes me dream and wish and wish fervently. And I'm not ashamed of that. I love Peter Pan. And I believe in his existence. I believe in childhood. I believe in dream come trues. Do you?

(See how I snuck in my self portrait there? Sneaky Sneaky.)

Oh, also, it makes it ten times better that Peter and Wendy in real life got married. Thats a dream that came true. And it makes me happy because they're perfect for each other and they're still kids, and I love it.

  7. That's a great quote! :)
I've actually never seen Peter Pan but I have a friend who wants to work at Disney someday and work as the guy who dresses as Peter Pan. I might have told you this already, lol. And I just got a thimble the other day! They are so delicate.

  9. What?! They got married in RL?! That last picture of them is just adorable.

And I looooove your self portraits! You are lovely and I love how you added the words to them. It's so important to keep that child-like aspect as you grow up, cause life can easily suck it away. I am glad you still have that magic :)

  12. That was lovely:) I've always loved Tinkerbell! She's one of few fairy tale characters that has such a lovely bad attitude haha.

And I just had this weird half-awake half-asleep moment this morning. That splendid situation when you had a lovely dream and are still in it even as you're waking up:)

You're making me want to go read peter pan again...!
I was going to a while ago but the book had the WEIRDEST illustrations and I just couldn't finish it. Yeah, I'm weird like that. =P
I Love how you snuck your self portrait in, Lol! Did you throw some glitter around? to make the pixie dust?! I like the second best 'cause of your expression and the light! Sneaky, sneaky. =D
Those shoes are pretty awesome too.
Oh, and have you read "Peter and the starcatchers"? It's a series of books based on peter pan, and the first one is really good. I would definitly recommend it. The others seem kinda dark to me, like their missing the feeling of justice at the end, but you might enjoy them. =)
