Prom?

This was just too cute that I haaaad to link to it. If you've seen Harry Potter and if you are a romantic(or even not a romantic), you haaaave to read Mandi's story. It's precious and it will have you grinning from ear to ear.

So there you go! Read them. And congratulate her! :)

Now that we're on the topic of prom, what do you guys think of prom?
Have you ever been?
Who'd you go with?
Did you have a fun time?

I'm not sure how I feel about prom. I went once Junior year with a group of my friends (all girls) and we had a blast!!!! We just went looking for a good time, and we had a good time. But it was like a once in a lifetime time. We didn't go again Senior year. Looking back, I kinda wish I went Senior year but I also didn't know of anyone else who wanted to go. So its still one of those toss up things. Because it was Senior year, and prom isn't one of those things you get to do later on in life usually. But I also had such a good time Junior year, that I almost didn't want to try and recreate it... you know? I also got asked, and hinted at going to prom my sophomore year, but things didn't work out and my foot was in a boot because I had broken my fifth metatarsal by tripping over my dog and landing on it wrong. So instead a group of my friends went bowling that year, and that was actually a lot of fun too. I don't know. I guess I kinda like prom in the way that even when I didn't go to prom, i still had fun on the night of prom. Yeah, prom is a good thing. :) This year the prom day is on my birthday in which I'll be spending in Disney! So, like I said, prom days are good days for me whether I go to prom or not.

Sorry, I sorta ranted. That's what happens when I go reminiscin'. Alright, your turn!!!! Prom stories/memories/ events!

GO.

-- I think I'll end my posts with a memory. Because lately I've been remembering things and wanting to share them. When I was about 10 or 11 ish, my Mom and my sisters and I used to go to the Target lunch counter to eat ALL THE TIME. We would go on a Friday afternoon whenever we could. I always ordered their Pizza Hut little Pizzas. Every single time we went, there would be an old man sitting in the corner reading a newspaper. Well, one time, he was in line and he turned to us and started singing; " M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E " and We Love You!!! He would do that every time we saw him after that. He also used to make drawings on paper napkins and give them to us. Sometimes he'd be making faces at us. He was an awesome old man and I appreciate him. He also used to say; "Thanks for the gumball Mickey" all the time. And he was always there at the same time whenever we went. Until one day he wasn't. I don't know what happened to him. The crazy thing was though, one time we saw looked over and randomly saw him in the car next to us. So we rolled down the window and started singing the Mickey Mouse song, and he rolled down his and joined us until the green light came on and our cars parted ways. I think that was the last time I saw him. Anyways, this was a memory that came in my head the other day, and I'm thankful for that memory and thankful for the old guy who used to make me smile. --

  2. Looks like you had a ball junior year! And that dress is awesome. I don't think there is anything to regret since you had so much fun the first time around, you know?

I went to prom with a bunch of girlfriends too, afterwards our school had a big event at the local ice rink -they wanted to give kids a safe option vs. going out and getting drunk. They had the rink, bounce houses, carnival games, etc. and a big giveaway. I even won $100 to Target!

  4. hahahaha I LOVED that Mickey Mouse old guy story, that is adorable. I just *love* charming cute old men, in a non-creepy way! Hahaha. That story made my evening, thanks for sharing it :D

Prom... I was homeschooled until I went to college, so I never got to go :( I never thought about it at all during highschool age and even if I did I probably wouldn't have wanted to go. But looking back now I wish I somehow had a way to go cause it seems sooo fun and I just love being with friends and having fun and dancing! I would have LOVED to do what you did, just go with a bunch of close friends and have crazy fun and not worry about stinky boys haha! But your photos are GORGEOUS oh my gosh and it looks like you had a blast :D
