Poem and Verses

Happy Friday Ya'all! I'm feeling very ambitious today. So, I'm going to jam pack this blog post with one of my writings I came up with last night and then with a Bible passage that I found yesterday and fell in love with. :) I hope you enjoy! The one thing I love about writing, is how for me it starts with an idea. Then that idea turns into a line. But I have no idea what my next lines are going to be until I have written the first line. Then the first line strikes inspiration for the second, and the second the third and so on and so forth. It just flows from the first line and I like that a lot. I don't think I could just plan out the whole thing right away. It all starts with the first line. I think it's interesting how that is. Anywho, I'll stop talking now and just share my writing.

                                         The Mystery Of Life
Heartache is just a little further down the road,
And you hate knowing into the mess you must go.
And life is surely an arrow not a bow,
But in the end, we'll all reap what we sow.

And the paved pavements look unsettling.
As it ventures into the vast unknown.
And your heart might be slightly afraid,
But through hardships it has grown.

And tears will pour down your eyes,
And smiles will trace your lips.
Life surely is a box of chocolates;
"You never know which one you might get."

You just need to hold on through the hard times,
And let yourself go during the good.
Keep your eyes on things above,
And do what you know you should.

Time is but an unreliable measurement,
And so is emotion and feeling.
But the world will unwravel itself,
As the fishing pole keeps on reeling.

People will love you,
And some will simply hate your guts.
You just have to appreciate the love,
And dodge the knives not allowing them to make their cuts.

You can choose how to take life,
You choose the way you see it.
But you can't try to understand the way it works,
Because the puzzle pieces will never fit.

So that's that basically. I kind of wrote that to show you that life has its ups and downs and it's a big adventure. But you can choose how you see it. Even if its unknown and scary, you can learn and grow from it with a healthy perspective. As Relient K says; "Perspective is a lovely hand to hold." No matter what goes on in life, we always have hope waiting for us. Because there will be no more tears in Heaven. How beautiful is that? To back up the reason to have joy in your life, I will share with you the lovely passage I stumbled across yesterday.

              Psalm 115:
"1 Not to us, Lord, not to us
but to your name be the glory,
because of your love and faithfulness.

2 Why do the nations say,
“Where is their God?”
3 Our God is in heaven;
he does whatever pleases him.
4 But their idols are silver and gold,
made by human hands.
5 They have mouths, but cannot speak,
eyes, but cannot see.
6 They have ears, but cannot hear,
noses, but cannot smell.
7 They have hands, but cannot feel,
feet, but cannot walk,
nor can they utter a sound with their throats.
8 Those who make them will be like them,
and so will all who trust in them.

9 All you Israelites, trust in the Lord
he is their help and shield.
10 House of Aaron, trust in the Lord
he is their help and shield.
11 You who fear him, trust in the Lord
he is their help and shield.

12 The Lord remembers us and will bless us:
He will bless his people Israel,
he will bless the house of Aaron,
13 he will bless those who fear the Lord
small and great alike.

14 May the Lord cause you to flourish,
both you and your children.
15 May you be blessed by the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

16 The highest heavens belong to the Lord,
but the earth he has given to mankind.
17 It is not the dead who praise the Lord,
those who go down to the place of silence;
18 it is we who extol the Lord,
both now and forevermore.
Praise the Lord."

We are here because of God. We exist, because of God. Let us give Him the glory, and let us praise Him no matter what comes our way. He is our help and shield and He will bless those who fear Him.

                                                    With love,
                                                Jam Packed Friday
